Howard doesn't look surprised when Tony turns up his nose at the possibility of a peaceful parting. After all, Anthony's bouts of stubbornness play out like a child pushing and prodding at everyone within reach in order to get even the tiniest sliver of attention in response. He suspects that the fact that he's Tony's father only makes matters worse.
